Obligations

People who are issued a Community Services Card have the following obligations:

• may at any time return the card to the Ministry of Social Development and ask for it to be cancelled.
• must return their card to the Ministry if requested in writing

If a client fails to meet their obligations, you can ask, in writing for the Community Services Card to be returned. The cardholder can be fined up to $1,000 for misuse of the card.
