Below are the minimum wage rates at 1 April 2008.
Adult minimum wage
The adult minimum wage applies to all employees aged 16 or over who are not new entrants or trainees.

New entrants minimum wage
In some circumstances, 16 or 17 year olds can be paid a new entrants minimum wage for their first 3 months or 200 hours of work.

Training minimum wage
The training minimum wage applies to people doing recognised industry training involving at least 60 credits a year.
