Payment calculations

A deduction for absence is only applied in the case of non-attendance for a full day.

Examples for non-attendance include (but are not limited to):

• health condition
• leave
• holidays
• bereavement

A deduction is not made if the client makes up the time missed with the sponsor.

Participation Allowance is paid to reimburse a client for expenses incurred while undertaking an activity in the community project they have chosen. The amount of Participation Allowance payable is calculated on a daily basis.

Whenever a client is absent, payment should be calculated using the table below. The amounts shown in the table are those that the client will receive. For example, where the project is for 3 days per week and the client did not attend 2 days, the amount payable is $7.00.

Note sponsors are responsible for calculating the amount due to each client.
