Debt created on cancelled record

Debts can be created or adjusted on a cancelled benefit record. For example where you need to change the date the benefit was cancelled.

A backdated review is required in these cases to ensure details of the debt are recorded correctly in SWIFTT.

Debt established on or after 26/09/2002 must be checked against the debt write-off criteria to decide if the debt or part of the debt is recoverable.
