When correction power is approved the following process will occur:

Step 1

The delegated authority will:

  • complete the CMS correction power decision template
  • email the manager client service delivery to advise them of the decision
  • print off the CMS correction power decision template and sign it
  • mail the signed template to the manager client service delivery

Step 2

  • the email is provided to the case manager by the manager client service delivery
  • the case manager forwards the email to Data Integrity Unit
  • the manager client service delivery gives the signed template to the case manager to place on the client's file

Step 3

  • Data Integrity Unit access the payment details from the CMS correction power assessment note template and the correction power decision template

Step 4

Data Integrity Unit issues the payment completing the SAHPA and/or AHPAY SWIFTT screens and:

  • in the SAHPA and/or AHPAY screen, enter code 004 Correction Power in the Proj Payment Reason code
  • authenticate the payment
  • note CMS using the "DIU correction power" note template that a correction power payment has been made and
  • email the case manager and manager client service delivery to confirm

Note Data Integrity will also keep a record of all correction power payments made.

Step 5

When the case manager receives the confirmation email from Data Integrity Unit, they will:

  • send a Correction Power letter of approval advice to the client
  • file all original paperwork as critical data on the clients file and
  • update CMS including recording that an approval letter has been sent to the client
