Review Rights where correction power declined

The decision by the delegated authority to decline correction power has its own review rights.

Note if the client has already lodged a Review of Decision about an earlier commencement date, the advice letter about correction power advises the client they can combine both reviews.

Where correction power is declined, the client has already lodged a Review of Decision about the commencement date the case manager will:

• update the Review of Decision process in HIYA
• send the appropriate Review of Decision letter in HIYA to the client, which advises the decision to uphold the commencement date has automatically been escalated to the Benefit Review Committee
