Warrant to Arrest : Contents

Effect of last child leaving care

Sole parents and single clients receiving Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit who have a warrant to arrest issued and have not resolved this warrant have 50% if their main benefit suspended.

Supported Living Payment and Jobseeker Support

For clients receiving Supported Living Payment or Jobseeker Support, when the last child leaves their care (including a child for whom Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit is being paid) all their benefit will be suspended, including any Extra help.

Winter Energy Payment will no longer be paid as they are not receiving a qualifying benefit.

Sole Parent Support

For Sole Parent Support clients the benefit will suspend due to not caring for a child under 14 years, not because of the warrant to arrest. If the Sole Parent Support client is transferring to another benefit you can transfer them to the new benefit type but the warrant to arrest will need to be resolved before the new benefit payments can start.

Note the benefit will need to be suspended manually in the system.

Winter Energy Payment will no longer be paid while the sole parent is not receiving a qualifying benefit.
