Housing allowances

There may be clients who have their accommodation costs subsidised (such as Armed Forces personnel).

For the purpose of Accommodation Supplement consider their accommodation costs as:

• the weekly rent the landlord charges less the weekly housing allowance received

Clients with housing allowances are eligible for Accommodation Supplement if their costs are still high enough.
