Kāinga Ora (previously Housing NZ) mortgage

If a client with a mortgage from Kāinga Ora (previously Housing NZ) receives a subsidised rate of interest, they are not entitled to an Accommodation Supplement.

A subsidised rate is any percentage of interest, which is less than the prime interest rate.

If the client does not receive a subsidised rate of interest they can apply for an Accommodation Supplement.
