Clients getting a reduced benefit

If a client is receiving a reduced rate of benefit because of extra income, advance payments can be approved to an amount equivalent to 6 weeks of the full benefit rate.

If the client is receiving a non-standard rate of benefit, for example their partner is under 24 and getting Student Allowance, Advance Payments of Benefit can be approved to an amount equivalent to the full benefit rate for 6 weeks. However, consider whether the amount can be recovered in 2 years from the non-standard rate.
