Overpayments of Best Start tax credit

Debts are not established by the Ministry of Social Development for Best Start tax credit or family tax credit payments which may have been paid incorrectly with a main benefit eg main benefit payments obtained fraudulently.

When a main benefit is stopped, Best Start tax credit and family tax credits will be notified to Inland Revenue through the information exchange.
