Permanent absence

If the client or child is leaving New Zealand permanently, Child Disability Allowance must be cancelled from the day after departure.

Child Disability Allowance may be payable to the new caregiver if the child is remaining in New Zealand and the new caregiver meets the qualifications for Child Disability Allowance.
