Absences when the Centre closes
Centres usually close for a set period of time each year, this is usually at the Christmas period. The set closure periods are not included in the calculation of a 3 week or 6 week absence.
Example
A child is absent for 2 weeks leading up to the Friday prior to Christmas. The centre that the child attends is closing for 2 weeks from Christmas Eve.
The absence calculation only counts the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas Eve. If the child is away when the centre reopens the count continues for 1 more week, then the subsidy stops.
