Amount payable during COVID-19 absence or closure
When a child is absent or a centre is closed due to COVID-19 requirements, the usual weekly amount the centre got before the absence or closure is the amount they will continue to get. This is regardless of whether a fee is charged to hold the child's place, and how much the fee is.
For example, if a centre usually gets $100 when the child attends, this is the amount they will get when the child is absent, or the centre is closed, regardless of the actual fee charged by the centre.
Note if during an absence or closure, the client decides their child will not return, payment must be stopped.
If a change in circumstance happens during an absence or closure, the Childcare Subsidy must be reviewed, and the rate of payment may change.
