Client takes up Twenty hours Early Childhood Education
When a client takes up Twenty hours Early Childhood Education hours, you must reduce, suspend or cancel their Childcare Subsidy.
Notification within 28 days
When you are advised that a child is taking up Twenty hours Early Childhood Education within 28 days of the event, the new rate is effective from the week you process (the first available date) providing you are notified by the client or provider within 28 days.
Generally where a child is taking up the Twenty hours Early Childhood Education we would not establish Childcare Subsidy overpayments.
Notification after 28 days
When you are advised a child is taking up the Twenty hours Early Childhood Education more than 28 days after the event, you should reduce, suspend or cancel the Childcare Subsidy from the actual date.
Overpayments will need to be established where appropriate.
