Death of a client or child
Death of a client
When a client who is receiving an OSCAR Subsidy dies the subsidy generally stops from the day after death.
There is discretion to continue paying until the next pay date following the date of death if the child is still attending the OSCAR provider. After this date the subsidy must be cancelled.
Death of a child
When a child who is receiving an OSCAR Subsidy dies the subsidy generally stops from the day after death.
Death of other child in family
The OSCAR Subsidy must be reviewed to ensure that we are paying the correct rate for the family size.
