Income limit
A client and their partner (if any) cannot get a Bond Grant if their income is more than the appropriate income limit.
There is one set of income limits for all clients including those getting a main benefit, New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran's Pension, and non-beneficiaries.
For New Zealand Superannuation and Veteran's Pension clients you should check their income is not over the income limit. New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran's Pension must be included as income when assessing if the client qualifies.
There is no discretion to grant a Bond Grant to a client whose income (including the income of their partner, if any) is above the income limit.
