Repayment of loan
Repayment of a Residential Care Loan will be sought:
- upon the sale of the home or
- 6 months after the client dies
whichever is earlier.
Legal Executives are responsible for advising Ministry of Health to stop loan payments and for arranging repayment.
In some situations, the loan repayment can be deferred if a non-core family member remains in the home.
