Debt recovery maximum

The recommended maximum recovery rate for clients currently receiving income support is set at no more than $40.00 a week, unless the client volunteers to pay more.

Debt types included in this maximum recovery rate are:

  • Special Needs Grant
  • Advance Payment of Benefit and
  • overpayments of benefit
