Monitoring compliance with social obligations
If you have reasons to be concerned that a client and their partner (if any) may not be meeting their social obligations you should, in the first instance, discuss and explain their social obligations and ensure they understand these obligations. For example when:
- you receive information that a client is not requiring their school age child to attend school
- you receive information that a client's child has not been receiving their core Well Child/Tamariki Ora checks
In these situations, you should start the three step process of regular engagement and support with the client.
