No stand-down applies

An initial stand-down is not imposed in the following situations:

• Temporary employment
• Prisoners
• Entering a refuge
• Partner's benefit cancelled due to Parental Assistance Test

Where no stand-down applies, the commencement date of the benefit is the later of either:

• the entitlement date or
• the application date

Note when no stand-down applies, the 28-day rule does not apply.
