Emergency Maintenance Allowance : Contents
Age
To get Emergency Maintenance Allowance a client must be:
- 20 years or older or
- have been legally married or
- have been in a civil union
Exception
A 16 to 19 year old sole parent may qualify for an Emergency Maintenance Allowance if they cannot get Young Parent Payment because they do not meet the residency criteria.
