Change in circumstances during Money Management
Clients may have a change in circumstances during Money Management, such as a change in income, which may change their rate of benefit.
If a client declares a change in circumstances after their payment has been issued onto the payment card, it may mean this payment is incorrect resulting in a debt being established or arrears due to the client.
Any debt will generally be repaid from their future benefit payments.
If a client is owed arrears, it will be paid directly to their bank account. This is different when a client's benefit stops during Money Management – for more information see: Period of Money Management.
