Weekend leave
Jobseeker Support is paid for a seven day period, covering Monday to Sunday. Therefore, where the client is receiving the hospital rate and is on weekend leave you should pay the appropriate full rate of benefit for the number of days they are on weekend leave and subsequently incurring additional expenses in the community.
Note the dates of admission and discharge are not regarded as days spent in hospital.
Example
If the client is on leave from Friday to Monday, you will need to pay the appropriate full rate of Jobseeker Support for 4 days. Generally, you will do this by completing a back dated review so that SWIFTT will pay the appropriate full rate of Jobseeker Support for 4 days.
