Effect on supplementary assistance - voluntary unemployment

Clients who have a 13 week non-entitlement period because they became voluntarily unemployed cannot get the following during their non-entitlement period:

• Emergency Benefit
• Accommodation Supplement
• Temporary Additional Support
• Special Benefit

Note a client who was getting Accommodation Supplement as a non-beneficiary before applying and being subject to a non-entitlement period upon application, can continue getting Accommodation Supplement during their non-entitlement period.

If eligible, clients can still get:

• Employment and training Assistance to transition into employment
• Disability Allowance
