Process for investigating industrial disputes
Local decisions are to be made jointly by the regional director and the manager client service delivery.
There must be consultation with your local solicitor on interpretation of the legislation and any applicable employment contracts.
Also consult your local solicitor about any disputes with national implications, for example, the entire freezing industry.
For disputes that cross service centre boundaries, the regional director is to ensure:
- co-ordination of the investigation through one service centre
- other manager client service delivery in the area are fully informed of the dispute and
- other manager client service delivery in the area are informed of the decision when finally reached
