Self-imposed stand-down

Where a client knows they will have a stand-down and delays their application for Sole Parent Support, the commencement date depends on whether the client has applied within 28 days of their entitlement date.

If the application is received within 28 days of the client's entitlement date, the commencement date will be:

• the day after initial stand-down ends

If the application is received 28 days after the client's entitlement date, the commencement date will be:

• the day after initial stand-down ends or
• the application date

whichever is the later.
