Supported Living Payment : Contents
At home
To get a Supported Living Payment the client must provide full-time care and attention at home. The home can be the client's or the person's home. A client may live in the same house as the person receiving care.
Some carers may receive payment from other funding sources such as the Ministry of Health Funded Family Care programme. These payments are considered income when assessing the rate of benefit.
If the client lives in different accommodation their ability to provide full-time care and attention may be compromised. Consider each case on its merits.
