Inform young partner of their activity obligations

Once the benefit has been granted, and the activity has been set for the young person, they must be advised of:

  • the activity obligations they are required to meet and the specific activities that have been set for them (eg school, training or work-based learning, parenting and budgeting)
  • the consequences of failing to comply with their activity obligations without a good and sufficient reason, in particular the sanctions that will be imposed and
  • their right to review and dispute any decisions relating to a failure to comply with their activity obligations

The activity obligations cannot be enforced until the main benefit commencement date.
