Partner's residence status
When a client has a partner and they do not qualify for Veteran's Pension in their own right, their partner's immigration status must be checked as this can affect the client's rate of payment.
When the partner is present in New Zealand unlawfully or is on a temporary entry class visa, the rate of payment for the client is the single rate of Veterans Pension.
