Residential criteria

The applicant must be either-

(a)

ordinarily resident in New Zealand at the time of application and meet 1 or more of the following criteria:

(i)

be a New Zealand citizen:

(ii)

hold, or be deemed to hold, a residence class visa under the Immigration Act 2009:

(iii)

be recognised as a refugee or a protected person in New Zealand under the Immigration Act 2009:

(iv)

be eligible for and receiving a payment under clause 15B of the Special Needs Grants Programme; or

(b)

eligible for, and receiving, a main benefit, New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran's Pension.
