Beneficiaries Transferring Between Benefits

16.1

MSD may make a non-recoverable Grant to an Applicant who-

(a)

is in receipt of a benefit under the Act; and

(b)

is transferring to New Zealand Superannuation; and

(c)

requires assistance to make that transfer.

16.2

The amount of a Grant made under clause 16.1 is to be no more than the total of -

(a)

the equivalent of one week's amount of the benefit that Applicant was entitled to receive immediately before transferring to New Zealand Superannuation; and

(b)

one week's accommodation supplement or other supplementary assistance under the Act that he or she was entitled to receive before the transfer.
