Client's partner is not residentially qualified
When a couple are applying for social housing and one partner does not meet the residence requirements, the partner can still be included in the application for social housing as they do not require a separate bedroom allocation. The non-residentially qualified partner cannot be the applicant and cannot be a signatory to the tenancy agreement.
However, any income the non-residentially qualified partner gets is included in the calculation for the household's Income Related Rent.
