Limited data available on lower quartile rent
When deciding the lower quartile rent information, there may be situations where there are limited accommodation options for the location that the client is going to live. In these situations, an alternative property type must be selected from the data that fits the client's bedroom needs in their required location.
For example:
- in Auckland city there may not be any flats and in these cases 'apartment' should be used
- it is unlikely that houses will be available in central city areas and in these cases an apartment with the same number of bedrooms the household needs should be used
