Social housing provider considerations when adding signatory to tenancy agreement

When considering whether to include another person or household unit as a signatory to the tenancy agreement, the social housing provider will consider whether:

• the existing house is suitable for the combined household's needs (for example, the occupancy limit is not breached) and
• the person or family unit joining in, is eligible for social housing

Note MSD will complete the assessment of eligibility for social housing.
