Some fast-tracks have priority over another fast-track
Households on the Oranga Tamariki or rheumatic fever fast-tracks will be prioritised on the register ahead of households on the emergency housing fast-track.
This ensures that priority is given to those most at risk.
Example
Jason's 12 year-old son is at risk of rheumatic fever and their household are on the rheumatic fever fast-track. Their housing need priority rating is A15.
Another household with dependent children in the same area are staying in emergency housing and are on the emergency housing fast-track. Their housing need priority rating is A20.
Jason's household will be fast-tracked for the next available, suitable social housing property ahead of the household on the emergency housing fast-track.

More than one fast-track
Clients can be placed on more than one fast-track depending on their circumstances.
Clients may have:
- combined rheumatic fever and emergency housing fast-tracks or
- combined Oranga Tamariki and emergency housing fast-tracks
Note clients who have either the rheumatic fever fast-track or the Oranga Tamariki fast-track will be prioritised ahead of a client with only an emergency housing fast-track.
