Insolvency, bankruptcy or death

In a joint tenancy, if one of the tenants dies or becomes insolvent or bankrupt, MSD may recover any outstanding debt from the remaining tenant(s) on the tenancy agreement.

Income Related Rent debt is split for recovery

However, if the debt has been split due to systems restrictions, MSD will generally not try to recover the amount apportioned to the deceased/insolvent/bankrupt tenant from the remaining tenants.
