Client advises change of circumstances of another tenant
If a client advises of a change in circumstances of another tenant, you must try to contact the other tenant to confirm the information received.
If the information received affects another tenant's financial assistance being paid by MSD, you must contact the other tenant to confirm the information received before you process the change.
Exception
If MSD already holds information about the other tenant (as the other tenant is a beneficiary) then you may use the existing information (when appropriate).
Client reviews a decision made due to a change in circumstances of another tenant
A client may lodge a Review of Decision where the rate of Income Related Rent has changed due to a change in circumstances of another tenant or partner (if any).
The client who lodged the review may ask to see information the other tenant provided, and they may access this information.
You must make sure the other tenant is only provided with information relevant to the decision the client is reviewing.
