Clients with suspended or expired benefit records
Assessable income can be reviewed when an applicable person has a permanent change in income.
Where an applicable person is getting a benefit and the benefit payments have reduced or stopped, the rate of Income Related Rent may be reviewed:
- when the client tells MSD of the change in circumstances or
- following the cancellation of the benefit
Retrospective benefit review
When a client's benefit is reviewed and retrospectively adjusted, you may need to consider whether the rate of Income Related Rent needs to be reviewed.
