Tenant lodges Review of Decision during transition period

When a tenant is advised they no longer qualify for social housing and they lodge a review of the decision, the 3 month transition period will continue.

MSD may tell the housing provider the tenant has lodged a review of decision.

MSD will provide a notice to the housing provider to advise the outcome of the review.

If the Review of Decision is over-turned, the tenant will remain in their current property.

If the Review of Decision is up-held, the housing provider may take appropriate action to end the tenancy.

The tenant can appeal to the Social Security Appeal Authority.

If they do appeal, MSD will tell the housing provider.
