Client's situation changes during regular engagement and support process

A client and their partner (if any) may have a change of circumstance which means they can no longer comply with a social obligation. These changes may include (but are not limited to):

• a dependent child leaves their care or
• a dependent child changes age and the social obligations that apply for the dependent child in their care are no longer relevant

If this happens during regular engagement and support, the client cannot be failed and they are no longer subject to the social obligation.
