Full-time study

To get Jobseeker Support Student Hardship, a client must be undertaking a full-time course of study at one of the following institutions in the next academic year:

  • Agricultural College
  • Community College
  • Secondary School
  • Teachers College
  • Technical Institute (Polytechnic)
  • University
  • Wānanga
  • Private Training Establishments (PTE's)

Note this does not need to align with the calendar year.

For example, a 1-year course starts in July and finishes in May the following year. The academic year is July to May.
