Income criteria

To meet the income criteria for Jobseeker Support a client must:

  • have no income or
  • if they have income it must not reduce the rate of Jobseeker Support Student Hardship to zero

Partner in employment

MSD can grant Jobseeker Support Student Hardship at the married, civil union or de facto rate if a client's partner is in employment (full-time or part-time). The partner's income is charged against the benefit.
