Limited employment locations
These guidelines explain how the limited employment locations policy affects clients in three different situations, outlined below:
A client living in a limited employment location receiving Jobseeker Support Student Hardship
A client in this situation must continue to meet the work obligations, which include being available for, and taking reasonable steps to obtain, suitable employment. They will not be expected to relocate.
Note this does not include clients who move from one limited employment location to another. In this instance, see:
A person living in a limited employment location applying for Jobseeker Support Student Hardship
A client living in a limited employment location who is applying for Jobseeker Support Student Hardship must meet the Jobseeker Support Student Hardship eligibility criteria.
For more information see:

A client in this situation must continue to meet the work obligations, which include being available for, and taking reasonable steps to obtain, suitable employment.
To meet this obligation, a client who moves to a limited employment location must have access to reliable transport and be willing and realistically able to commute to a nearby town or centre where there is employment available.
