Student, partner or supported child dies

When a student, their partner, or their supported child dies, generally the student's Student Allowance entitlement must be reassessed from the week after the date of death.

Discretion is available to make this change from a later date if there are circumstances that suggest it is reasonable to do so.

A debt should be created for any payments or parts of any payments incorrectly paid.

Arrears must be paid where they have not received their full entitlement.
