Death of a client

Special Portability payments may continue for up to 28 days after the client's death regardless of their relationship status.

Payments for surviving partners are changed to the single sharing rate from the day after their partner's date of death.

Mandatory Reviews

There are no Mandatory Reviews of New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran's Pension paid under Special Portability when a client has died.
