Death in Australia
The normal procedures for cancellation of New Zealand benefits and pensions apply on the death of a client receiving a New Zealand benefit or pension in Australia.
Generally, Services Australia - International Services will advise International Services of the death of a client in Australia and International Services will complete the cancellation of the New Zealand benefit or pension.
Funeral Grants
A Funeral Grant is not payable for clients who were living in Australia at the time of their death.
