War Pensions
When a client is receiving an Australian War Service Pension it will be directly deducted from any New Zealand benefit or pension.
When a client is receiving one of the following War pensions from the Department of Veteran's Affairs in Australia, it will not affect any New Zealand benefit or pension that the client receives.
War Disablement Pension
Australian War Disablement Pensions can provide additional pension to compensate veterans for injuries or diseases caused or aggravated by War/Defence services.
War Widow's Pension and Orphans Pension
The full amount of an Australian War Widow's Pension, including any amount paid for children, does not affect any New Zealand benefit or pension.
