When MSD matches a client's information with information from Malta, MSD must send a written notice of adverse action to the client:
- advising that MSD will receive information from Malta regarding the rate of payment of overseas pension and any changes of circumstance since the client applied for their New Zealand benefit or pension
- advising that MSD will also be sending information to Malta, which may affect their benefit or pension from Malta
- containing unique identifiers for that client
- giving the client a minimum of 10 working days to confirm the unique identifiers are correct
