Deductions
In certain circumstances Work and Income can be required to pay part of a client's benefit to another party.
Work and Income is legally required to make such deductions when served with a properly issued Deduction Notice or Attachment Order. In these cases, the consent of the client is not required.
Deductions are different to the redirection of a young person's payments when they are subject to money management.
Certain forms of deductions take priority over others.
